In a media field cluttered with generic pest control ads, we set out to make Plunkett’s stand apart — not just with words, but with a fully built brand hero.
We created a 3D action-figure–style character inspired by the real-world leader of Plunkett’s, Stacey O’Reilly, the company’s third-generation president. Our goal: design a mascot that embodied readiness, leadership, and charm — the qualities that define both Stacey and the company she leads.
The character design leaned into classic action-figure cues — part Buzz Lightyear energy, part Woody-style charisma — with a modern, Midwest edge. Equal parts charm and all business, the mascot became a standout symbol of trust and responsiveness. Built to unify both Plunkett’s and Varment Guard, this hero injected a fresh personality into the brand and gave their internal teams something to rally behind.
From early concept art to modeling and animation, the mission was simple: make pest control feel powerful, capable, and human. Because even in a field filled with noise, the right character — with the right message — can cut through.
When pests show up, so do we. Call Plunkett’s. We’re ready.
And when your brand needs a hero designed, a problem solved, or a message that demands to be heard —
Call Gasket. We’re built for that too.
Not in my backyard!
