Gasket Studios: Layla Bug

“What if your imagination could hug back? Meet Layla — a bug on a mission to draw her own story.”

Layla is a ladybug with a big imagination and an even bigger heart. She draws her own adventures—sometimes literally—and stumbles, soars, and scribbles her way through a world of curiosity, creativity, and kid-sized wonder.

Directed by Gasket’s Greg Shultz, Layla Bug is more than just a show—it’s a love letter to kids who see the world a little differently, feel things deeply, and dream loudly. Her stories are filled with messes, questions, giggles, and growth—because that’s what being a kid is all about.

Layla is more than a character. She’s a compass. Through her, we hope to help kids embrace their voice, explore their feelings, and imagine the kind of world they want to create.

One of Layla’s biggest lessons? It’s okay to ask for help. Whether it’s a friend, a coach, a parent, a teacher, or a therapist, Layla shows us that asking takes courage. And that’s what helps us grow. In a world where so many are afraid to be judged, she reminds us that curiosity is strength and that seeking support is a superpower.

At Gasket, we believe storytelling should connect, comfort, and crack you up a little too. Layla reminds us that imagination is a powerful thing: it helps us build empathy, solve problems, and find joy in the unexpected. That’s the kind of energy we try to bring to every project.

She’s got wings, a pencil, and a purpose—and we’re just getting started.
